Julianne McGinnis, M.A., Licensed Psychologist
Julianne McGinnis, M.A., Licensed Psychologist, has recently joined the Saar Psychological Group. Julianne graduated with her Master’s degree in clinical psychology in 1985. Prior to that, she graduated from WVU in 1982 with a B.S. degree in Human Sciences. Julianne has been licensed as a psychologist since 1993. With over 25 years experience in various clinical settings, she has delivered quality individual, family, couples, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, usually emphasizing a systems family therapy approach. Most recently, she was on the faculty at the Marshall University Medical School for 11 years and then at a busy private practice in Morgantown, WV. She has been trained to do psychological evaluations for ADD , as well as performing routine psychological evaluations. She has also had experience with court testimony though her emphasis has been on therapy. Julianne has enjoyed success utilizing a variety of therapy modalities. These include cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation training, marital therapy, play therapy, and client-centered therapy. Her areas of expertise include mood disorders, abuse issues, behavior problems, anxiety disorders, and family crisis.
Eric Walls, MA
Supervised Clinical Psychologist
A native of Charleston, WV, Mr. Walls received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Marshall University in 2007. He received his Master’s degree in Psychology from Marshall University in 2009.
Licensure
Mr. Walls has been working toward his WV license since 2009. He is in the process of accruing more clinical hours under the supervision of Dr. Timothy Saar.
Employment
Mr.Walls has been working at Saar Psychological Group since graduating from Marshall University. Mr. Walls provides therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Mr. Walls has preformed Psychological Evaluations in both adults and children as well as offered expert testimony in a court setting. Monica Ballard, MA Monica Ballard, supervised psychologist, received her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Marshall University Graduate College in 2005 and her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Concord College in 1995. Monica is on the West Virginia Supreme Court's list of Certified Mediators. She has been a licensed social worker for over 12 years and is certified as a Development Specialist and a Social Worker through the West Virginia Birth to The Early Intervention system. She has been trained as a domestic violence advocate and has been trained in substance abuse issues. She has also completed the Finding Words WV training of forensic interviewing for children sponsored by the WV Prosecuting Attorney's Institute. Monica is also a Certified Clinical Addictions Counselor (CCAC).
